Whale Watching

From the terrace. June-November, with peak sightings July-October as southern right whales migrate from Antarctica to our warmer waters to calve and mate. Humpback whales are typically more visible from June to September. Local boat tours are available.

Visit Lake Eland, just 45 minutes (60km / 37.5 miles) away, for a variety of activities including self-game drives, guided game drives, a thrilling 4.5km (2.8 miles) zipline tour and X-treme tours, scooter tours, paintball, horse riding, mountain biking a suspension bridge and view sites . You can also unwind with a treatment and relax in the spa.

Surfing

Surf uncrowded, world-class waves under the warm African sun with fun conditions year-round for surfers of all levels. Surf the point break and bay right in front of the house, or venture out to explore the many nearby point and beach breaks. Local surf lessons are available. Please enquire about guided surf groups.

Food Scene

With favorites among locals and tourists such as The Cellar, Jaxx Restaurant, C-Bali, and The Packshed , to name just a few, you’ll have no shortage of excellent places to enjoy a meal, featuring quality food and warm hospitality.

Diving, Fishing, Sardine Run

Offering some of the world’s most thrilling diving experiences, Protea Banks is just 20 minutes (30km / 19 miles) to the south, while Aliwal Shoal lies 30 minutes (58km / 36 miles) to the north. Fishing, spearfishing, and diving are also popular right on the beach in front of the house. The spectacular annual Sardine Run takes place between May and July, with peak activity typically in June.

Yoga

Yoga is available across the road in a stunning studio nestled in the natural jungle, with highly qualified instructors. We welcome yoga retreat groups and can connect you with the studio for a tailored program.
